Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure precise documentation of all Fly Away Kits, including their components, expiration dates, and storage locations. Conduct regular inventory assessments to maintain adequate stock levels and identify any inconsistencies.
  • Oversee the assembly and packaging of FAKs in accordance with established protocols. Guarantee that all required tools, parts, and equipment are included to assist maintenance and service operations during flight layovers.
  • Perform comprehensive evaluations of FAKs to confirm the integrity and functionality of items. Identify any damaged or outdated components and initiate replacement or repair procedures as necessary.
  • Collaborate with multiple departments, including Maintenance, Operations, and Procurement, to ensure the timely delivery and retrieval of FAKs. Work with ground handling teams at various locations to ensure kits are available and ready upon aircraft arrival.
  • Maintain thorough documentation related to FAKs, such as packing lists, maintenance logs, and usage records. Generate regular reports on inventory status, kit utilization, and any challenges faced during deployment.
  • Work alongside maintenance planners, flight dispatchers, and ground handling teams to ensure prompt delivery and retrieval of FAKs at different locations. Coordinate with relevant personnel to prioritize kits based on aircraft types, scheduled maintenance tasks, and operational needs.
  • Be prepared to support unexpected maintenance events or AOG (Aircraft on Ground) situations by swiftly mobilizing appropriate FAKs and resources to the affected aircraft location. Collaborate with maintenance teams to facilitate rapid repairs and minimize flight disruptions.
  • Comply with aviation regulations, company policies, and safety protocols governing the handling, storage, and transportation of FAKs. Ensure that all kits are properly secured, labeled, and stored in accordance with hazardous materials regulations and industry best practices.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance FAK management processes, improve efficiency, and reduce costs. Solicit feedback from maintenance personnel and other stakeholders to implement enhancements in kit contents, packaging, or deployment strategies.
  • Provide training and support to maintenance staff and ground personnel on the proper use and handling of FAKs. Offer technical assistance and troubleshooting support to resolve any issues encountered during kit deployment or utilization.
  • Maintain open communication with relevant departments, including Maintenance, Operations, Supply Chain, and Quality Assurance, to ensure alignment of FAK management activities with operational needs and strategic objectives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in aviation management, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in inventory management, logistics coordination, or a similar role within the aviation sector.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in managing inventory records and documentation.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions and interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of aviation regulations and safety standards is advantageous.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods. Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Must be capable of lifting 50 pounds or more.
