Job Title: Forensic Engineer

The role of a Forensic Engineer at Nederveld, Inc. involves conducting independent and collaborative work with the Forensic Engineering team, investigative fieldwork, and analysis to determine the root cause of motor vehicle collisions or incident events.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough investigations of motor vehicle collisions and incidents
  • Analyze evidence, facts, and develop comprehensive reports of findings
  • Work collaboratively with team members to achieve project goals
  • Rapidly respond to evidence documentation requests
  • Complete assignments accurately and within specified timeframes
  • Adhere to ethical practices consistently
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented individual
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Familiarity with mechanical systems and highway geometrics
  • Excellent communication and public speaking skills
Education and Experience:
  • BS Degree or higher in Engineering (Mechanical preferred) with a focus on highway geometrics, traffic engineering, and/or construction management
  • Prior engineering experience, preferably in Forensic Engineering
  • ACTAR or other industry certifications preferred

Physical Demands:

This position requires regular driving, standing, sitting, walking, reaching, typing, talking, hearing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, pushing, pulling, carrying, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Travel:

Regular travel is required as part of the Forensic Engineer job, with some periodic overnight travel possible.
