Position Overview:
As a Lead Cybersecurity Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the creation of cutting-edge cryptographic software tailored for various defense applications. Your expertise will contribute to secure communication systems utilized in advanced military operations, including satellite, aircraft, and ground vehicle communications. Collaborating with esteemed organizations, you will ensure that our cryptographic solutions maintain the highest standards of security and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:
Your primary duties will include:

  • Taking charge of technical aspects in software engineering, influencing critical decisions for the successful development of applications across diverse product lines.
  • Engaging in requirements gathering, collaborating on software architecture and design, implementing software solutions, and performing software-hardware integration and verification.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
  • A University Degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field with at least 5 years of experience, or 12 years of relevant experience in the absence of a degree.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance.
  • Proficiency in software development and integration, particularly with embedded C and C++.
  • Experience with complex multi-threaded software codebases and standard full lifecycle software development practices.

Preferred Skills:
While not mandatory, the following qualifications are advantageous:

  • Familiarity with embedded security software development and integration.
  • Experience in a Linux development environment, including knowledge of mutexes, semaphores, queues, inter-process communication, and interrupt service routines.
  • Ability to mentor junior engineers in software development practices.
  • A collaborative mindset with a focus on team success and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience leading teams through the complete software lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of IP networking and networking protocols.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python.
  • Experience with high-level programming languages (C++, C#, Java, Perl, Ada, VHDL) and hardware-software integration in real-time embedded systems.
