Position Summary

As a Manufacturing Assembly Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the inspection, testing, handling, storage, receiving, calibration, scheduling, and shipping of equipment within the assembly department. Your responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute various tasks in the valve assembly sector, including assembly of designated product lines, lapping, testing, charging, silicone insertion, aging, squeezing, polishing, leak checking, and preparing equipment for assembly.
  • Assemble and evaluate components in accordance with company standards, mastering fundamental and some advanced skills in procedures, techniques, tools, materials, and equipment relevant to your area of expertise.
  • Support colleagues during the assembly of components, imparting knowledge of proper techniques and procedures.
  • Address routine inquiries and challenges, escalating more complex issues to senior personnel.
  • Utilize material handling equipment to transport parts, components, and subassemblies as necessary.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain awareness of hazards in the workplace, ensuring a clean and organized work environment.
  • Maintain acceptable levels of reject and scrap rates while achieving production targets.
  • Identify and resolve problems independently with minimal assistance.
  • Ensure proper upkeep of machinery, equipment, and facilities.
  • Follow all verbal and written instructions accurately.
  • Record labor hours accurately using the time tracking system.
  • Clean tools and work areas before concluding each day.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a technical, vocational, or mechanical field, as verified by management.
Skills and Competencies
  • Ability to interpret complex engineering and welding blueprints and comprehend written engineering procedures.
  • Proficient in operating high-pressure test units, jib cranes, and forklifts.
  • Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments such as calipers and pressure gauges.
  • Capable of employing appropriate measuring tools for quality inspections.
