We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Assembler to join our team at Powell Industries. As an Assembler, you will play a critical role in the manufacturing process, ensuring the production of high-quality electrical units and switchgear.
Key Responsibilities- Assembly and Fabrication: Assemble electrical units, switchgear, and other Powell products according to drawings and instructions.
- Quality Control: Inspect and test assembled units to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
- Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on electrical units and switchgear.
- Safety and Compliance: Promote a safe working environment and adhere to all safety protocols and regulations.
- Team Collaboration: Work effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve manufacturing goals and objectives.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: 0-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Skills: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, knowledge of electrical systems and components, and basic computer skills.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with electrical systems, switchgear, and manufacturing processes.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex problems.
This is a safety-sensitive position that requires working in a temperature-controlled manufacturing environment with occasional outside activities. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required at all times, and respirators may be necessary in certain situations.
