Midland Recruiters is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our plastics manufacturing team in the Lexington, KY area. This role will oversee all aspects of engineering management, including manufacturing, safety, automation, project management, risk management, training, and performance reviews.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of six direct reports in the plastics manufacturing department.
- Develop and implement engineering strategies to improve manufacturing efficiency and quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and innovation.
- Manage and mitigate risks associated with manufacturing operations.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching to team members.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Engineering Manager in the plastics industry.
- BS degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and safety protocols.
- PMP Certification is a must.
- Experience in plastics, injection molding, blow molding, extrusion, compounding, polyethylene, polypropylene, HDPE, LDPE, LLDPE, or polymers is a plus.
