Position Overview:

The Safety and Security Specialist is tasked with executing licensed security duties to maintain the safety and protection of the designated client site, its visitors, guests, residents, and their belongings.

By demonstrating vigilance and professionalism in adhering to company protocols, the Specialist is adept at recognizing potential risks within assigned zones and is prompt in reporting incidents to the Site Supervisor or Manager on duty.

This role collaborates closely with supervisory personnel and operational teams to promote best practices that comply with federal and state regulations while respecting company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, report, and uphold client expectations.
  • Document all security breaches according to established procedures.
  • Utilize the company’s scheduling system for accurate clock-ins and clock-outs.
  • Assess and respond to alerts in the vicinity with professionalism and in accordance with company protocols.
  • Notify the Supervisor on Duty when escalation is necessary as per company guidelines.
  • Assist fellow security personnel in de-escalation efforts when appropriate.
  • Adhere to procedures for fire safety, property inspections, and incident documentation.
  • Position requires extended periods of standing and walking.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid SORA license.
  • Minimum of one year of security experience.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check.
  • Strong customer service skills.
