Job Summary

The State of California is seeking a Medical Consultant I to join our team. As a Medical Consultant, you will be responsible for adjudicating applications for disability benefits under the Social Security, Supplemental Security Income, and Medi-Cal programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review case histories and evaluate medical reports
  • Evaluate possible effects of medical or surgical treatment in relation to program requirements
  • Provide assessments of the applicant's functional abilities based on program guidelines
  • Participate in decision-making regarding team endeavors related to quality, workflow, and production
Requirements
