Our organizational culture prioritizes high performance, innovation, and continuous learning. The Senior Mechanical Systems Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the operation and upkeep of mechanical systems and stationary engines.

This role is essential in our pursuit of creating a Smarter Airport and reinforcing ACAA's leadership in the global aviation landscape.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage in or develop job safety analysis procedures.
  • Conduct comprehensive maintenance of all mechanical systems, including diagnostics, parts management, and the repair or rebuilding of equipment.
  • Record operational data such as temperature, pressure levels, and equipment specifications.
  • Adjust manual controls or override automatic systems to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Perform visual inspections of equipment to identify malfunctions or necessary repairs.
  • Maintain indoor air quality standards by changing filters and cleaning equipment.
  • Execute routine maintenance tasks, including tightening fittings, replacing components, and lubricating machinery.
  • Document all operational and maintenance activities in the operators' logbook.

The ideal candidate will have completed a recognized apprenticeship in the mechanical trade or possess equivalent training from an accredited institution or military service.

A valid Pennsylvania Class C driver's license is required, and adherence to ACAA's maintenance guidelines and safety protocols is essential.

We encourage a willingness to expand knowledge in various equipment aspects, including economizers and pneumatic systems, to enhance operational efficiency.

Applicants should demonstrate considerable knowledge of the practices, methods, tools, and materials relevant to the mechanical engineering field, including brazing and soldering techniques.

Physical requirements include the ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance.
