Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Domestic Violence Program Director to join our team at Hawai`i State Coalition Against Domestic Violence. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader with a passion for addressing domestic violence in Hawaii.

About the Role

The Domestic Violence Program Director will be responsible for leading our programmatic efforts, including overseeing projects, developing training and technical assistance opportunities, and planning conferences. This position requires strong leadership and supervisory skills, as well as a comprehensive understanding of domestic violence and sexual violence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all programmatic staff and projects, ensuring effective management and delivery of results.
  • Develop and lead online and in-person training and technical assistance opportunities for HSCADV membership programs and community partners.
  • Plan and execute the annual membership conference, including research, coordination with speakers and stakeholders, and event logistics.
  • Provide supervision and development opportunities for programmatic staff, including workplans, evaluations, and personnel matters.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of emerging issues and trends pertaining to domestic violence.
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify funding opportunities and craft compelling grant proposals.
  • Assist in executing HSCADV policies and procedures for grant administration and other requirements of funders.
  • Represent HSCADV at statewide and national events or conferences as requested by the Executive Director.
Requirements
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to interact with diverse audiences.
  • Well-organized, judicious, attentive to detail, and able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Able to work collaboratively to develop plans and work independently to create high-quality results.
  • Comprehensive understanding of domestic violence and sexual violence, including systems advocacy and how to effectively work with nonprofit, government, and for-profit institutions.
  • Familiarity with Hawai`i systems, structures, and community.
  • Demonstrated understanding of principles of adult learning, including proven ability to complete full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor, and evaluate).
  • Five years supervisory experience.
  • Familiarity with technology used by HSCADV, or willingness to learn.
Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $85,000 per year, paid holidays, vacation, sick days, medical and dental insurance, flexible spending account, and participation in 403(b) retirement plan with employer match.

Location

This role is based in Honolulu, HI 96814, with occasional travel to conduct trainings on Oʻahu and the neighbor islands, build relationships with member programs and allied organizations, engage with HSCADV staff, attend funder-required meetings, and engage in professional development and networking opportunities.
