Hawaii Pacific Health Medical Group is seeking a skilled pediatrician to provide clinical hospitalist care in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children.

About the Role

As a hospitalist, you will work under the supervision of board-certified neonatologists, providing direct patient care for all NICU patient populations. Your responsibilities will include primary data gathering and physical assessment, participation in rounds with formulation of plans, and direct communication with families on a daily basis.

Responsibilities
  • Provide primary data gathering and physical assessment for NICU patients
  • Participate in rounds with formulation of plans
  • Communicate directly with families on a daily basis
  • Become proficient in procedures such as airway management, thoracentesis, chest tube placement, basic ECMO management, and ventilator management

This position includes affiliation with the University of Hawaii, John A. Burns School of Medicine. You will join a close and collaborative division, including hospitalists, nurse practitioners, and neonatologists, staffing a new 74-bed single-room NICU.
