Infectious Disease Nurse Manager

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Infectious Disease Nurse Manager to join our team at Brockton Neighborhood Health Center, Inc. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and oversight to our Infectious Disease program, ensuring high-quality patient care and exceptional outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide clinical leadership and supervision to the Infectious Disease team, including RNs, LPNs, and other healthcare professionals.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Collaborate with the HIV Program Manager to monitor caseloads, chart rates of completion of Individual Service Plans, and other aspects of Medical Care Coordination activities.
- Complete DPH reports monthly and annually, and maintain the state CAREWare database.
- Supervise STI Staff and HIV Medical Case Managers, and provide day-to-day operations support.
- Participate in quality assurance monitoring, including studies and reviews to improve HIV Quality Metrics.
- Develop and implement education programs for staff on Infectious Disease screening and high-risk behaviors.
- Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
- Current state licensure to practice in Massachusetts.
- Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certified.
- Maintains licensure and certifications.
- Minimum of five years nursing experience.
- Knowledge of Infectious Diseases and standards of care.
- Bilingual preferred.
Works in a busy community health center in a downtown business district. Long hours are sometimes required.
Physical Requirements:Physical demands requiring lifting of small pieces of equipment, boxes, and/or patients not to exceed forty (40) pounds. Mostly standing and walking are required. Visual acuity sufficient for frequent reading. Hearing acuity sufficient for holding conversation with or without audio devices.
