Select Physical Therapy is seeking a highly skilled Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) to join our team in Los Angeles, CA. As a key member of our sports medicine team, you will provide preventative services, emergency care, clinical evaluation, therapeutic intervention, and rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide patient care under the supervision of a licensed physician.
- Participate in the Athletic Training Services program, including coverage of school athletic events and practices.
- Design and implement specific therapeutic programs for the rehabilitation of injured athletes.
- Determine the need for and administer proper athletic training techniques to decrease the risk of injury.
- Monitor the effectiveness of athletic training/rehabilitative techniques and record changes as indicated by athlete response within the limits of the specified plan of care.
- Maintain proper lines of communication to ensure athletes receive optimal care within the sports medicine team.
- Manage emergency incidents, coordinate EMS and acute care procedures, and provide basic life support to reduce the impact on function of an injured athlete.
- Seek out outreach opportunities and participate in events to promote the company.
- BS Degree REQUIRED, Masters degree preferred.
- National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) certification.
- Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
- Applicable state license where required.
