Job Title: Outside Sales Parts Representative

Stewart & Stevenson Power Products LLC is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Outside Sales Parts Representative to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for effectively selling parts and services to customers in assigned territories, driving sales profitability and growth.

Responsibilities:
  • Generate new customer accounts and maintain existing relationships to achieve sales goals and forecasts.
  • Analyze customer needs and interests to determine how our products and services can meet their needs.
  • Assist in marketing and sales of new products and/or prototypes to the existing marketplace.
  • Review completed jobs for variations in component costing and ensure timely delivery of finished products.
  • Interface with other departments to oversee project development and ensure project specifications and deadlines are met.
  • Compute installation or production costs and prepare bid specifications for customers.
  • Negotiate proposals and sales and service contracts with customers.
  • Establish and maintain business relationships with industry professionals to generate and maintain a positive business image for the organization.
  • Plan and organize sales strategy to ensure strong market share of our products and services.
  • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and issues.
  • Provide management reports on customer needs, market situation, and competitive activities.
Qualifications:
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze customer needs and interests.
  • Strong sales and marketing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and prior experience with Oracle preferred.
Requirements:
  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) and three to seven years related experience.
  • Ability to build strong presentations for customers and present them in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by the position, location, and/or customer.
