We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior DBT Therapist to join our team at DBT-PTSD Specialists. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality DBT therapy services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Complete diagnostic assessments, treatment planning, and clinical session notes in a timely manner.
- Participate in weekly team consultation meetings to ensure seamless collaboration and communication.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs of each client.
- Provide group therapy sessions, including DBT skills training and coaching.
- Collaborate with other mental health professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support for our clients.
- Document all progress notes and treatment plans in accordance with regulatory and DBT-PTSD standards.
- Respond to client requests and provide education and support to family members and caregivers.
- Stay current with research and advancements in the field of DBT therapy.
- A master's degree in psychology, counseling, marriage & family therapy, or social work from a regionally accredited academic program.
- Fully licensed as a clinical mental health professional in Minnesota (LCPC, LPC, LMFT, or LMHC).
- 2+ years of professional counseling experience post-master's degree.
- Strong clinical understanding and competence in providing outpatient psychotherapy.
- Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
- Ability to respect diversity and integrate issues of culture into case conceptualizations.
- Ability to engage with patients who may be ambivalent about treatment.
- Previous experience operating within an outpatient clinic setting.
- Ability to establish effective therapeutic relationships.
- Sufficient understanding of technology applications or products to learn and understand software products at a detailed level.
- Organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication skills, relationship-building, and conflict-management skills.
- Strong knowledge of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) principles and theories.
- Ability to provide individual and group DBT therapy.
- Ability to assess and diagnose mental health issues.
- Ability to develop and implement a DBT treatment plan.
- Ability to identify and target behavioral patterns that lead to maladaptive coping.
Environment: Office environment, up to 25% travel required.
Physical Requirements: Sitting, standing, walking, and keyboard use.
