Position Summary

As a hybrid Senior Pharmacy Operations Manager within the Cedars-Sinai Medical Network, you will offer strategic leadership and oversee all facets of the pharmacy operations. This includes managing staffing, evaluating personnel performance, ensuring productivity, enhancing patient safety, driving quality improvement, and overseeing budget management. You will coordinate and manage the activities of the pharmacy team to deliver safe, cost-effective, and clinically appropriate medication therapies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and assess pharmacy process improvement initiatives aimed at reducing drug costs and waste.
  • Ensure appropriate reimbursement and enhance operational efficiency while promoting clinically appropriate drug utilization.
  • Oversee financial analysis and management of departmental revenue and budgets.
  • Lead and monitor all aspects of pharmacy operations, including staffing and performance management.

Qualifications

Educational Background

  • Doctor of Pharmacy Degree (Pharm.D.) is required.

Licensure and Certification

  • Current California Pharmacist license is mandatory.
  • Completion of a postgraduate residency or fellowship training (preferably in ambulatory or primary care) is preferred.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within the probationary period.

Experience

  • A minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in ambulatory or primary care pharmacy management or completion of postgraduate residency or fellowship training (preferably in ambulatory/primary care).
