Job Summary

This position is located at the Office of the Inspector General for Tax Administration, Office of Information Technology. As a Supervisory IT Specialist, you will provide high-level support for the agency's Information Technology governance and portfolio management activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the agency's IT governance board, overseeing strategic planning, policy development, and budgeting.
  • Supervise a team of IT professionals, providing guidance on project management, coordination, and implementation.
  • Act as an escalation point for IT-related issues and advise the Director and CIO as necessary.
  • Ensure that IT projects align with the agency's business and IT strategies, including strategic planning, life-cycle management, and capital IT investment plans.
Requirements
  • One year of experience in IT governance, portfolio management, or a related field.
  • Experience managing IT projects, including planning, coordination, and implementation.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and provide guidance to IT professionals.
Working Conditions

This position requires regular reporting to the duty station and may involve working in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be required to undergo a background investigation and obtain a Government-issued charge card for business-related travel.
