Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with daily needs and activities, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Work closely with the nursing staff to provide patient care and support, including vital sign checks, room searches, and patient supervision.
  • Recognize and respond to crisis situations, providing interventions as necessary to ensure patient safety.
  • Consistently report to work on time and prepared to perform duties, delivering indirect and selected direct patient care as directed by facility leadership.
  • Conduct intake processes, searches of belongings and patients, and complete BAC's and drug screen observations as directed by facility leadership.
  • Monitor patient activity and document any significant patient issues, ensuring patient safety and well-being.
  • Record rounds and ensure patient safety as specified, conducting regular facility and grounds checks to identify any irregularities or safety concerns.
  • Notify and report any health and safety issues, significant patient concerns, and any out-of-the-ordinary occurrences to facility leadership immediately.
  • Complete all documentation requirements prior to the end of the shift, performing basic housekeeping duties as needed.
  • Facilitate and lead daily groups as directed by facility leadership, attending all staff meetings and in-service trainings.
  • Complete all online training, policy verification, and ensure that their employee HR file is kept up to date, monitoring and overseeing the self-administration of patient medication if applicable.
  • Provide transportation services, including patient transportation/supervision, errands, shopping, admits, outings, etc., as pre-qualified to drive a company vehicle.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid and unrestricted required State Driver's License if applicable.
  • Minimum of 1 year sobriety if in recovery.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to document within an electronic system.
  • First Aid/CPR certification within 30 days of hire and required recertification annually thereafter.
  • De-escalation/restraint technique certification within 90 days of hire and recertification yearly thereafter.
  • Medication training within 30 days of hire if applicable.
