Lineman Technician

Job Summary:

Aerial Cable Specialist needed to join our team at ADB Companies Inc. to provide proficient manual laborer, cable placement, and equipment operations for various telecommunication projects.

This position will involve aerial installation of fiber optic cable, and the ideal candidate will be safety-focused, customer-centric, and have a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities:

• Provides mid-level aerial installation functions, including hand digging, setting up traffic control, and loading materials.
• Proficient with utility print and map reading.
• Climbs utility poles and/or utilizes lift to place cable in adherence to print designs and maps.
• Supports the setup and shut down of utility construction projects, including traffic control in various conditions.
• Trains alongside experienced construction crews to learn fiber installation, print reading, equipment operations, and OSHA requirements.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of lineman experience within the telecommunications industry.
• Formalized training/Lineman certification from an accredited tech school.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• CDL License (or the ability to obtain).
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Work Environment:

Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions, including sitting, squatting, standing, walking, and climbing. May be exposed to uncomfortable or distracting sounds or noise levels while on site.

Regular exposure to all weather conditions, including hot, humid, cold, rain, snow, and ice.

When working on site, will be required to wear common protective safety equipment, such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, and steel-toed boots.
