Job Summary

The Finance Manager will play a crucial role in the financial operations of the Brulee and Rhubarb Hospitality Collection. Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Finance Manager will oversee a range of accounting functions, including financial reporting, closing the books, consolidating financial results, and managing accounts receivable and payable.



This role offers a competitive salary of $70,000 to $75,000 per year.

About the Role

The Finance Manager will work closely with the teams and their venues throughout the Rhubarb Hospitality Collection and Brulee's Philadelphia, PA portfolio.


Key Responsibilities
  • Accounting and Financial Reporting:
    • Prepare financial statements, including monthly statements, annual budget, and annual reports.
    • Oversee and assist in closing the books and consolidating financial results.
    • Perform and/or supervise accounts payable and receivable processes.
    • Ensure accuracy of general ledger coding and post original entries.
    • Reconcile bank statements and select balance sheet accounts.
    • Conduct cost analyses and rate studies.
    • Oversee document coding and reconcile sales reports to month-end postings.
    • Provide accounting support to various departments and coordinate with them on labor allocation costs.

  • Financial Systems and Controls:
    • Establish system controls for new financial systems and improve existing procedures.
    • Safeguard company assets through close monitoring of accounting procedures and conduct audits as needed.
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations in accounting and audit work.

  • External Relations and Reporting:
    • Coordinate the preparation of external audit materials and financial reporting.
    • Work with auditors to verify financial information and procedures.
    • Manage the calculation and reporting of sales tax, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
    • Assist with payroll processing and benefits administration.
    • Provide general office and administrative support as needed.
    • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business management, or a closely related field.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of accounting, finance, or comparable work experience, with supervisory experience preferred.
  • A solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Hospitality industry experience is highly preferred.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), and accounting software experience is a plus (Sage, NetSuite, PeopleSoft Financials, ADP Payroll software).
  • Excellent facilitation, collaboration, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A high level of organization, self-motivation, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours, including late nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by business needs.
