Senior Program Manager, Transportation Partner Solutions

In this position, you will oversee and facilitate the development lifecycle for the Transportation Partner Experience (TPX) organization. Your role will involve managing the delivery of various technical solutions and serving as the primary point of contact for third-party development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee annual and quarterly planning processes.
  • Enhance visibility across the organization by preparing Management Business Reviews (MBRs), Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), updates, recap documents, and demonstrations.
  • Ensure accountability by conducting weekly project check-ins, participating in sprint planning, and acting as the liaison for our third-party development partners.
  • Establish a backlog by managing the intake process and evaluating and prioritizing feature requests and issues.
  • Create a comprehensive tracking system to align all commitments across the organization.

In addition to planning and accountability, you will define and implement technical workflows aimed at expanding our digital community, enhancing recognition, driving community impact, and aggregating data solutions.

Your responsibilities will also include managing relationships with third-party engineering teams, which will involve executing purchase orders, contracts, and addressing general resource and reliability requests.

You will collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to ensure that the appropriate projects receive the necessary support to achieve our overarching goal of providing exceptional customer experiences.

The ideal candidate will have a robust background in program management, demonstrate sound judgment and follow-through, and possess a well-rounded understanding of contemporary web technologies.

This role will influence strategic initiatives and require you to take ownership of projects from conception through execution and delivery.

This position is inherently cross-functional, necessitating strong project management skills, effective communication, the ability to influence, and the capacity to build trust with software engineers, product teams, stakeholders, and business leaders.

About the Team:

The Transportation Partner Experience (TPX) team is looking for an experienced Technical Program Manager to lead our roadmap planning efforts, engage with our third-party technology partners, and direct the technical design of innovative and expansion projects.

TPX's Mission:

Our mission is straightforward: to foster engagement, advocacy, and business success among the essential functions within Amazon's Last and Middle Mile logistics networks. We achieve this by developing insight mechanisms and engagement programs that connect, inform, and inspire the ecosystem of business owners partnering with Amazon.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in technical product or program management.
  • 3+ years of technical program management experience working directly with software engineering teams.
  • Proven experience in owning and driving roadmap strategy and definition.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
Additional Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in project management disciplines, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and critical path management.
  • Experience managing projects across cross-functional teams, establishing sustainable processes, and coordinating release schedules.
  • Experience in managing external relationships.
