As a key member of our commercial lines team, you will be responsible for retaining and growing an established book of business, delivering exceptional value to clients through in-depth insurance knowledge, and meeting or exceeding annual sales and retention goals.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and underwriters to drive business growth and retention.
- Analyze insurance needs and market to insurers to secure optimal coverage and cost terms for clients.
- Negotiate quotes and coverages with underwriters to obtain competitive terms.
- Manage customer-related insurance data in our agency management system.
- Respond to exposure questions from underwriters and coverage questions from clients.
- Supervise 1-2 Account Executives.
- Maintain awareness of insurance industry changes, emerging risks, and coverage solutions.
- Participate in associations and networking groups relevant to clients.
- Familiarity with various lines of coverage, with expertise in at least two areas, including General Liability, Property, Auto, WC, Umbrella/Excess, Crime, Cyber D&O, Employment Practices Liability, Pollution, and Errors & Omissions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal and negotiation skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- College degree or demonstrated equivalent work experience.
- Property & Casualty Producers License.
- 10 or more years of experience required.
- Applied Epic preferred.
