Phoenix Children's Division of Endocrinology and Diabetes is in search of a dedicated full-time physician.

The Division of Endocrinology and Diabetes at Phoenix Children's stands as the largest pediatric endocrinology and diabetes program in Arizona. Our team comprises diabetes educators, dieticians, endocrine nurses, a Diabetes Program Manager, a CARE obesity program manager, a research director, a quality director, and a medical director. We are in the process of establishing an Endocrine Quality and Innovation Center aimed at utilizing data collection to enhance population health in various conditions we address.

This role can be based at our new Northwest Valley Arrowhead location or at the Phoenix Children's Main campus. Ideal candidates should possess an interest in general endocrinology practice. We also welcome candidates eager to focus their clinical work and research on Type 2 diabetes, obesity, and bariatrics.

With a close-knit faculty and a team of long-term experienced staff, the Division of Endocrinology and Diabetes at Phoenix Children's is committed to supporting our providers across multiple platforms. The department is supported by an Endocrine Research director, PhD, who assists physicians in initiating new research projects, alongside an Endocrine Quality director who guides physicians in launching new quality initiatives. We conduct weekly academic meetings, including journal clubs and research discussions.

We have a well-established fellowship and residency program, contributing to a welcoming and warm work environment.

Position Details:

  • On-call approximately 7 to 8 full weeks per year for full-time staff, with no clinics scheduled during on-call periods.
  • Average of 7 to 8 half-day clinics per week when not on call.
  • Competitive compensation package with productivity bonuses.

Successful candidates must possess:

  • MD/DO degree
  • Board Eligibility/Certification in Pediatrics and Pediatric Endocrinology
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with other professionals to advance clinical programs and research
  • Proficiency in telemedicine and comfort with this mode of medical care, as it is utilized for outreach clinics at times.
