Job Summary:

The Respiratory Care Practitioner is a vital member of our healthcare team, responsible for delivering skilled respiratory care modalities and interventions to patients with cardiopulmonary system deficiencies and abnormalities.

This position requires specialized training and experience to perform independent, professional respiratory care, ventilator management, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and clinical evaluation of care.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in respiratory therapy and critical care, with a focus on providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver skilled respiratory care modalities and interventions to patients with cardiopulmonary system deficiencies and abnormalities
  • Perform independent, professional respiratory care, ventilator management, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and clinical evaluation of care
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
  • Monitor and evaluate patient progress, making adjustments to care plans as needed

Requirements:

  • Graduate of AMA-approved Respiratory Therapy training program
  • Certified (CRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care
  • Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) with the State of Washington
  • Registry eligibility notice to sit for RRT exam from NBRC required
  • Advanced cardiac life support credential required within 90 days of hire depending on age of the population served: ACLS, NRP, PALS
  • Health Care Provider level CPR certification
  • Minimum one (1) year of acute care experience in the field of respiratory therapy and critical care as CRT preferred
