Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Specialist 1 to join our Airport Operations team at the City of Midland, TX. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, repair, and landscaping for airfield, landslide, and associated buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine airport maintenance tasks such as painting, plumbing, sweeping, and mowing.
  • Conduct necessary landscape maintenance, including pruning, weeding, and fertilizing.
  • Perform sprinkler system maintenance as needed.
  • Repair runway edge erosion and remove rubber from the runway.
  • Remove snow and ice from airside and landslide areas.
  • Wash cars and other vehicles as required.
  • Seal cracks and perform concrete work as necessary.
  • Operate and maintain equipment used in daily operations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid Texas driver's license required.
  • Herbicide applicators license a plus.
