Job Description

At Santa Clara Development Corporation, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Security Officer Level I to join our team. As a Security Officer Level I, you will be responsible for providing exceptional security services to our organization, ensuring the safety and security of our employees, guests, assets, facilities, and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide critical safety and security services by patrolling assigned areas to observe the grounds and facilities of the organization in a manner consistent with guidelines and applicable laws, policies, and procedures to deter criminal activity.
  2. Ensure the establishment and its surrounding premises are always protected by providing security services to all its employees, guests, assets, facilities, and operations.
  3. Respond to various emergency calls for service such as fires, injuries, accidents, robberies, intrusion alarms, bomb, and other threats.
  4. Use multiple communications systems to coordinate emergency calls and relay information and assistance requests involving law enforcement, fire, and emergency service agencies.
  5. Monitor emergency alarm systems, analyze recorded and live surveillance video of non-gaming activities to detect any suspicious activity which may pose a risk to employees, vendors, and guests.
  6. Perform other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department and enhance location/sites safety and operations.

Requirements:

  1. High School Diploma or GED required.
  2. Must be at least 21 years of age.
  3. All candidates will be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
  4. All candidates will be required to successfully complete and pass the New Mexico State Security Guard training after a 1-year probationary.
  5. Valid Driver's License.
  6. Excellent customer service skills.
  7. Minimum one (1) year of experience working in Security preferred.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

The physical demands and the work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

The employee must frequently lift, assist and/or move up to approximately 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. The employee is required to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time. The employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. However, based on the assigned location/site, the noise level increases to loud. The employee is exposed to secondhand cigarette smoke and could be exposed to stressful situations and irate individuals.
