Certified Peer Recovery Specialist Role

Job Summary:

This position provides recovery support services to individuals and families, promoting rehabilitation, recovery, and resiliency. The Certified Peer Recovery Specialist will work with clients to identify strengths and address barriers to independent functioning in the community.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist clients in developing skills for daily living, socialization, and community functioning.
  • Support clients in obtaining financial and medical benefits/entitlements and maintaining safe, affordable housing.
  • Teach symptom monitoring, management, and relapse prevention skills, as well as medication management.
Requirements:
  • High School or GED Equivalent.
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Prof Rescuers within 30 days.
  • Valid New Mexico Driver's License.
  • UNM Vehicle Operator's Permit within 60 days.
  • Certified Peer Specialist recognized in State of NM.
Estimated Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year.
