About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Community Peer Support Worker to join our team at State of the Heart Recovery Inc. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals who have been previously incarcerated or are homeless, with co-occurring mental health diagnoses and drug/alcohol dependency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement treatment plans in conjunction with clients and other staff members
  • Provide intensive case management services, including crisis intervention and relapse prevention support
  • Facilitate groups and workshops on various topics, including housing needs, vocation skill, and life skill building
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, adhering to state licensing and federal regulations
  • Cultivate relationships with community resources and referral sources to ensure seamless service coordination

Requirements:

  • A valid CPSW License
  • A high school diploma or equivalent, with a strong understanding of mental health and substance abuse issues
  • A minimum of 3 years in recovery

Preferred Skills:

  • Motivational Interviewing skills
  • De-escalation techniques
  • Computer literacy

Benefits:

This role offers a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per annum, dependent on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth.
