Job Summary:
Epworth Children's Home is seeking a highly skilled Early Intervention Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will work closely with parents and caregivers to provide quality Family Training/Special Instruction and Service Coordination services for children ages birth to five years who have developmental delays/disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide frequent home visits and contacts to support families in their child's development
- Collaborate with other professionals and agencies to ensure comprehensive support for children and families
- Develop and implement individualized plans to meet the unique needs of each child
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify developmental delays or disabilities
- Provide training and support to parents and caregivers on strategies for promoting child development
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or a related field
- One year of experience working with children birth to three years of age and/or children with developmental delays, diagnosis, or disabilities
- Working knowledge of infant and child development
- Ability to work collaboratively with other professionals and agencies
- Demonstrated ability to write professional reports and correspondence
- Valid SC driver's license and use of personal vehicle
- Belief system and faith practices compatible with those of the United Methodist Church
