As a key member of our staff, you will work closely with parents and caregivers to provide quality Family Training/Special Instruction and Service Coordination services for children ages birth to five years who have developmental delays/disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide frequent home visits and contacts to support families in their child's development
  • Collaborate with other professionals and agencies to ensure comprehensive support for children and families
  • Develop and implement individualized plans to meet the unique needs of each child
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify developmental delays or disabilities
  • Provide training and support to parents and caregivers on strategies for promoting child development

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or a related field
  • One year of experience working with children birth to three years of age and/or children with developmental delays, diagnosis, or disabilities
  • Working knowledge of infant and child development
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other professionals and agencies
  • Demonstrated ability to write professional reports and correspondence
  • Valid SC driver's license and use of personal vehicle
  • Belief system and faith practices compatible with those of the United Methodist Church
