About the Role

Auria is seeking a highly skilled Information System Security Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our systems and networks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Validate RMF Packages: Create and maintain Assessment and Authorization (A&A) packages to obtain Authority to Operate (ATO) for our systems.
  • Lead Assessment and Authorization Activities: Oversee A&A activities for DoD and Intelligence Systems in accordance with Risk Management Framework and ICD-503 guidelines.
  • Support Offensive Architecture Analysis: Assist in the design of defense-in-depth solutions to protect our systems from cyber threats.
  • Develop and Assess System Security Plans: Create and evaluate system security plans, including security concepts of operation, risk management matrix, security control traceability matrix, security test procedures, and plan of action and milestones.
  • Conduct Vulnerability Assessments: Identify and analyze vulnerabilities in our systems to ensure compliance with RMF controls and DISA Security Technical Information Guidelines (STIGS).
  • Analyze Static and Dynamic Code Scans: Evaluate Application Security and Development STIG compliance through static and dynamic code scans.
  • Lead Security Test Event Teams: Coordinate and lead security test event teams to achieve accreditation milestones.
  • Verify and Validate Vulnerability Resolutions: Ensure that vulnerability resolutions and mitigations are effective and compliant with security standards.
  • Communicate Effectively: Clearly communicate work plans, milestones, and obstacles to clients, and effectively explain complex security concepts.
  • Develop Security Documentation: Create and maintain system security plans, procedures, and other security documentation.
  • Resolve Complex Problems: Analyze and resolve non-routine problems and direct complex problems to the Program Manager.
Requirements
  • Security+ or Equivalent: Hold a Security+ certification or equivalent (IAT II Minimum).
  • Experience with A&A Tools: Have experience with traditional A&A tools, including ACAS Nessus, Xacta, eMASS, SCAP Scanner, and STIG Viewer.
  • Minimum 5 Years of Accreditation Experience: Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in accreditation.
  • Demonstrated Expertise in Cybersecurity: Demonstrate expertise in national Cybersecurity policies, DoD or Intelligence Community A&A processes and procedures, and industry best practices on complex systems.
  • Expertise in Vulnerability Assessment: Have expertise in vulnerability assessment, control allocation, and risk mitigation.
  • Understanding of Offensive and Defensive Security: Understand offensive and defensive security tactics, techniques, and procedures.
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills: Possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively build and lead teams.
  • US Citizenship and Active Security Clearance: Be a US citizen and hold an active security clearance (Minimum Secret).
  • Business Travel: Be willing to travel to customer locations (up to 25%).
Preferred Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Related Field: Hold a Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or Cybersecurity.
  • RMF Experience and Navy Ship Systems Expertise: Have experience with RMF and Navy ship systems expertise.
  • Cloud Architecture Experience: Have experience with cloud architectures.
