POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a General Manager for our Tullahoma operations. This role is crucial in overseeing the daily functions of our two Resins and Molding plants, ensuring that we deliver high-quality products and services while maintaining a strong focus on safety.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Establish and execute plant-level objectives that align with the overall business strategy, ensuring that both facilities achieve their targets.

· Manage staffing and resource allocation based on sales forecasts and production schedules to support operational goals.

· Collaborate with project management and engineering teams to incorporate new processes and equipment, optimizing production and addressing logistical challenges.

· Identify and implement cost-effective production methods and systems.

· Lead and mentor managers and supervisors to resolve ongoing manufacturing challenges.

· Foster a culture of continuous improvement by promoting innovation and best practices throughout all production activities.

· Oversee inventory management to ensure accurate tracking of materials and finished products.

· Conduct regular inventory audits to maintain accuracy and mitigate discrepancies.

· Establish and uphold robust internal controls to protect plant assets and ensure compliance with corporate policies.

· Regularly assess performance against budgetary goals and adjust forecasts as necessary.

· Evaluate capital expenditure proposals and prioritize investments that align with plant objectives.

· Analyze production costs and collaborate with teams to minimize waste and optimize resource use.

· Prepare comprehensive reports for senior management, highlighting financial performance and areas for improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing management within a high-volume production environment, preferably in parts manufacturing.
  • 5-10 years of experience in managing facilities with a focus on quality systems.
  • 5-10 years of experience leading technical projects from concept to execution; a Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required, with an MBA considered a plus.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
  • Strong technical and project management skills.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities, particularly in budgeting and financial oversight.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate goals and strategies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and bridge gaps between departments.
