About the Role

As a Mental Health Worker at Butler Hospital, you will play a vital role as a patient advocate, setting a high standard for performance and effectively communicating patients' needs for service. You will work closely with registered nurses to provide direct care to patients, focusing on their activities of daily living and ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment on the unit.

Responsibilities
  • Provide support and advocacy for patients, promoting a positive and respectful environment
  • Assist registered nurses in providing direct care to patients, including activities of daily living
  • Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment on the unit through observation, monitoring, and interacting with patients
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in any social science or comparable behavioral health experience
  • Experience working with mentally ill and/or developmentally delayed clients
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Candidate preferred: C.N.A. license with 2% pay differential available for active license holders
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, our 20/40 part-time schedule offers every other weekend off, with an opportunity to work over census float assigned to D3.
