Security Officer

Protect company assets and provide a safe environment for employees and guests.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure the safety and well-being of guests and employees.
- Provide directions and escorts to customers as needed.
- Assist civil and law enforcement authorities, including testimony in court and administrative hearings.
- Conduct chip fills and jackpot verifications.
- Provide regular escorts of money and persons handling money.
- Offer first aid, including CPR when necessary.
- Patrol property to identify safety hazards and security breaches.
- Investigate and document incidents according to company policy.
- Enforce company policies and procedures.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- High school graduate or equivalent required.
- Two years' experience in a position with direct guest contact required.
- Prefer individual with two years police, military, or casino security experience.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Good oral and written communication skills, along with basic computer knowledge.
- Must obtain and possess a Nevada Gaming Card, Alcohol Awareness Card, First Aid & CPR certifications.
- Current and valid Nevada Driver's License required.
- Ability to work any day of the week and shift.
- Well-groomed appearance expected.
- Eight hours of ASP (baton) training required.
- Ability to prepare effective written reports.
- Ability to work well with coworkers and as a team.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts.
- Ability to work and stand inside and outside, sometimes in extreme temperatures.
- Ability to physically restrain individuals when necessary.
- Ability to respond calmly in crisis and stressful situations.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as stooping, bending, jumping, twisting, crouching, gripping, carrying heavy loads, and maneuvering quickly.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 60 pounds, push or pull up to 150 pounds.
- Ability to see and remember specific details of incidents and persons.
- Ability to give court testimony and write detailed reports.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Ability to tolerate areas with second-hand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust.
- Must pass physical and written testing of the Western Division Security Academy within the first 90 days of employment.
- Must re-certify through the Western Division Security Academy between years 2 and 3.
