Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Customer Quality Engineer to join our team at Collins Aerospace Careers. As a key member of our Quality organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality in our products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to drive customer satisfaction and reduce quality escapes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve customer issues and improve product quality.
  • Lead customer audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain quality evaluation, control systems, and protocols for materials and processes.
  • Analyze and recommend corrective actions for nonconformities and design problems.
Requirements
  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven In-depth knowledge of Quality Management System(s) and Root Cause Analysis tools.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and non-verbal) must be able to summarize complicated technical topics quickly and concisely.
  • 5+ years in Aerospace with solid knowledge of Quality Assurance in production/manufacturing and new product developments.
  • FAA, EASA, and other regulatory authority knowledge with PMR / MRB, Corrective action methodology experience is desired.
  • Certified in the appropriate ASQ Body of Knowledge (CQE, CQA, CRE, CPA).
  • Ability to effectively lead a cross-functional team to drive quality improvement initiatives.
