Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Customer Quality Engineer to join our team at Collins Aerospace Careers. As a key member of our Quality organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality in our products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to meet customer needs and expectations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and drive preventative actions.
  • Lead customer audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain quality evaluation, control systems, and protocols for materials and processes.
  • Analyze and recommend corrective actions for nonconformities and design problems.
Requirements
  • University degree in a related field and minimum 8 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree and minimum 5 years of experience, or 12 years of relevant experience in absence of a degree.
  • Proven knowledge of Quality Management Systems and Root Cause Analysis tools.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to summarize complex technical topics.
  • 5+ years of experience in Aerospace with solid knowledge of Quality Assurance in production/manufacturing and new product developments.
  • FAA, EASA, and other regulatory authority knowledge with PMR/MRB, Corrective action methodology experience is desired.
  • Certified in the appropriate ASQ Body of Knowledge (CQE, CQA, CRE, CPA).
