The Role:

State and Local Tax (SALT) Experienced Associates are integral members of various client service teams. They undergo both formal and practical training to refine and enhance their technical expertise. Responsibilities include preparing corporate state and local income tax filings, extensions, estimates, and all supporting documentation related to state apportionment, taxable income, and modification workpapers.

In addition to preparing state and local tax returns, Experienced Associates engage in state and local tax planning, modeling, conduct research, and provide consultation on a variety of issues for corporate clients.

The Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field, and/or an advanced degree in Accounting;
  • A minimum GPA of 3.0;
  • At least 1 year of experience in tax preparation;
  • Strong multitasking and organizational abilities;
  • Proficient in tax preparation software, preferably Oncesource or GoSystems RS;
  • Proactive in seeking opportunities within a dynamic environment;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Strong interpersonal capabilities;
  • Proficient in technology, including MS Excel;
  • Able to interact with and earn the respect of all levels of internal and client personnel.
