Cardiology Opportunity at CHEMED

Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver Exceptional Patient Care: Provide top-notch cardiovascular care to patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of a wide range of cardiac conditions.
  2. Collaborate with Healthcare Professionals: Work effectively with primary care physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and integrated patient care.
  3. Diagnostic Expertise: Perform and interpret diagnostic tests and procedures such as echocardiography, stress tests, electrocardiograms (ECGs), and cardiac catheterizations as needed.
  4. Treatment Planning and Education: Develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs, incorporating evidence-based practices and the latest advancements in cardiology. Educate patients and their families about cardiovascular health, preventive measures, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications to promote optimal heart health and disease prevention.
  5. Clinical Documentation and Quality Improvement: Maintain accurate and thorough medical records, including patient histories, examination findings, diagnostic test results, treatment plans, and progress notes. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and initiatives aimed at enhancing patient outcomes, clinical processes, and overall patient satisfaction.
  6. Continuing Education and Community Engagement: Stay abreast of developments in the field of cardiology through ongoing professional development, attending conferences, and engaging in scholarly activities. Contribute to community outreach efforts and educational programs focused on cardiovascular health promotion and disease prevention.

Requirements:

  1. Medical Degree: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school.
  2. Board Certification: Board certification in Cardiology from the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or equivalent.
  3. State Licensure: Valid medical license to practice in the state of New Jersey.
  4. Clinical Experience: Proven experience in clinical cardiology practice, including the diagnosis and management of cardiovascular diseases.
  5. Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to establish rapport with patients, colleagues, and staff members.
  6. Team Player: Strong collaborative skills with a commitment to teamwork and multidisciplinary care.
