Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant

Sigma Healthcare is seeking a skilled Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team in Lakewood, NJ. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our rehabilitation services.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to work in our Lakewood, NJ facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting licensed physical therapists in providing physical therapy and related services to patients, while maintaining positive relationships with facilities and clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist licensed physical therapists in screening and evaluating patients, and implementing treatment plans to optimize functional abilities and skills.
  • Provide direct supervision to rehab techs in tasks during group and individual treatment, promoting efficient resource utilization and enhancing patient quality of care.
  • Participate in integrating physical therapy's role into facility and interdisciplinary treatment plans, enhancing clinical expertise and professional skills.
  • Maintain valid state license and awareness of issues related to the profession of physical therapy and the healthcare environment.
  • Understand relevant payment models, billing, and treatment guidelines, providing quality care and reasonable goals and outcomes.
  • Comply with infection control procedures and environmental safety protocols.
  • Travel between facilities during scheduled hours and work varying hours, including weekends and holidays.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an APTA accredited school of physical therapy.
  • Valid Physical Therapy Assistant state license.
  • 1 year professional SNF experience preferred.
