Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Track Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Canadian Pacific Railway. As a Track Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for safely maintaining the physical railway track within a specific territory in accordance with guidelines set forth by the FRA and Canadian Pacific.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform track maintenance and renewal work, including the use of hand tools and small machines, and operation of large track renewal equipment.
  • Stand, lift, and squat for long periods of time, and lift tools and equipment of 50lbs or greater.
  • Travel to various locations within New York and Maine, and work in all types of weather.
  • Respond to emergent conditions 24/7/365, and work abnormal hours and times as required.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to travel and have adequate transportation.
  • Ability to read and understand safety rules and regulations, and perform tasks in accordance with those rules.
  • CDL license or in the process of obtaining one is preferred.
  • Mechanical and welding experience is desirable.
