Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Investor Relations Associate to join our Development Office. This role will support our national fundraising efforts, assist with relationship management, and collaborate with the Investor Relations team and other key members of the development team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and refine the investor gift acknowledgment process, ensuring timely and accurate recordkeeping.
  • Support the Development team in maintaining the Salesforce database with accurate records of investor relationships, referrals, tasks, and meeting notes.
  • Assist with investor meeting preparation, developing briefs, decks, and other materials as needed.
  • Contribute to prospect research efforts to maintain a robust prospect pipeline.
  • Provide regular support for executive leadership tasks and email management.
  • Support the monitoring and management of deadlines related to grant proposals and reporting.
  • Occasionally assist with the development of grant reports and proposals through content curation and initial drafting.
  • Copy-edit, proofread, and format emails, memos, grant proposals, and reports.
  • Support project management of in-person and virtual donor/investor events.
  • Lead on internal meeting prep, record minutes, and track tasks for various development meetings.
  • Provide administrative and scheduling support for the Senior Director, Investor Engagement, and other members of the team as requested.
  • Maintain regular awareness of and implement solutions for data hygiene needs and opportunities within Salesforce, Google Drive, Asana, and other related platforms.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of professional experience in non-profits, philanthropy, communications, fundraising, sales, customer service, or a related field.
  • Interest in Upstream's mission and vision.
  • Commitment to high-quality work with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Solutions-oriented project support skill set with comfort working as part of a team and independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to be a collaborative team member.
  • Experience in managing relationships with supervisors (managing up) and peers, while handling multiple shifting priorities and driving projects to meet deadlines.
  • High level of interpersonal maturity, discretion, and poise.
  • Superior organizational skills.
  • Strong writing and copy-editing ability.
  • Desire to grow experience and skills, and learn from mistakes.
  • Experience with Salesforce; must have solid command of PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and G-Suite.

Travel Requirements

This role will require up to 10% business travel. All Upstreamers can expect a minimum of 8 days of business travel per year to attend 1-2 annual organizational retreats and two annual team/department meetings.

Hiring Range

$65,600-$70,000 USD

Pay Transparency

Final offers for this position will be based upon several factors, including the scope of the role, market compensation analysis, position requirements, candidate's experience level and capabilities, internal pay equity considerations, and will be made within the parameters of Upstream USA's compensation framework and philosophy.
