Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Safety: Ensure the safe handling and administration of medications, adhering to regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Pharmacy Professional Practice: Collaborate with the Pharmacy Manager to lead and direct the Pharmacy Technician Support Staff, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date on regulatory requirements and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and guidelines.
  • Quality Assurance: Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and pharmacy operations.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, addressing patient and customer needs in a timely and professional manner.
  • Personnel Management: Supervise and develop the skills of Pharmacy Support Staff, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the management of pharmacy inventory, ensuring accurate ordering and stocking of medications and supplies.
  • Financial Profitability: Contribute to the financial success of the pharmacy, identifying opportunities to improve profitability and efficiency.
  • Loss Prevention: Implement measures to prevent loss and minimize waste, ensuring the integrity of pharmacy operations.
  • Workflow Management: Analyze and optimize pharmacy workflows, streamlining processes to improve efficiency and productivity.
Requirements
  • Active Pharmacy License: Possess an active pharmacy license in the state where employed.
  • Immunization Certification: Hold immunization certification through an accredited organization.
  • Background Check: Pass a background check, including a review of any pending felony charges or convictions related to controlled substances.
