About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Roadway Project Manager to join our Transportation Engineering Group in Charleston. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the firm's roadway design efforts and assisting in the growth of our Transportation Engineering practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of highways and local roads engineering projects to ensure quality delivery of project submittals
  • Manage project contracts and financials, including budgeting and cost estimation
  • Mentor junior-level staff and provide guidance on project management and engineering design
  • Develop and implement business development and marketing strategies to identify new opportunities and support proposal and interview efforts
  • Monitor workload needs throughout the project development process
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil Engineering required
  • 8+ years of relevant experience required, with 4+ years of task lead and/or project management experience preferred
  • P.E. license required, with DOT experience required and WVDOH experience a plus
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of roadway design software such as Bentley Microstation, Bentley OpenRoads Designer, and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred
  • Diverse experience in roadway geometric design, pavement design, construction document preparation, and right-of-way plan preparation
  • Experience in proposal preparation and engineering fee estimating, as well as grading and drainage, hydrology and hydraulics, stormwater management, erosion and sediment pollution control, and utilities
