Job Title: HVAC Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled HVAC Design Engineer to join our team at Nomad GCS. As an HVAC Design Engineer, you will be responsible for specifying and generating novel designs of mobile/modular-based HVAC systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and specify Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) solutions that align with industry standards (NFPA, ANSI, ASHRAE, etc.)
  • Thermal load/occupancy/cycle/power calculations combining client specifications and Nomad internal build standards
  • System-wide or sub-component selection from COTS available components
  • Mechanical design of air-handling systems in difficult mounting locations (3D SolidWorks)
  • Prove successful designs with testing of prototypes including new systems and technologies
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required with AS, AAS, or BS in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology, or similar field of study
  • Minimum 2 years of verifiable work history in HVAC design with additional preference given to HVAC engineering in a custom manufacturing environment
  • Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks or similar) and file management desired
Working Environment:

The work environment is typically an indoor office environment, long periods of computer-related work, constant interruptions, and high levels of stress at times.

All Team Members must wear provided OSHA approved eye protection at all times in manufacturing areas.

The employee will be required to wear provided safety eyewear throughout the performance of their duties.

The employee is always expected to maintain a professional image and demeanor on company property and/or while representing the company off-site.
