Government Sales Manager Job Description

Leatherman Tool Group is seeking a dynamic and experienced Government Sales Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and building strong relationships with government agencies and organizations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Achieve quarterly and annual sales budgets by developing and executing effective sales strategies and plans.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with government customers, understanding their needs and preferences to deliver tailored solutions.
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities, and develop targeted sales promotions and merchandising programs to drive business growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, logistics, and product development, to provide solutions to customer issues and drive business results.
  • Develop and deliver effective product presentations to new and existing channel partners, and maintain accurate and detailed data in Salesforce/CRM.
  • Provide regular regional reports on account status, issues, and opportunities to cross-functional teams.
Requirements:
  • BA/BS Degree or technical equivalent military/government background or operational experience.
  • Eight years prior business, acquisition, or program development experience or military equivalent acquisition or operational experience.
  • Experience developing and winning new business opportunities within targeted agencies/organizations.
  • Independent sales representative management.
