Job Title: Materials Receiving Superintendent

NexGen Contracting, a leading provider of construction services, is seeking a highly skilled Materials Receiving Superintendent to join their team in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing an inventory control materials information system, handling personnel matters, and coordinating with owner expediting managers. This role requires a strong understanding of inventory management, logistics, and supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develops, monitors, and manages an inventory control materials information system
  • Handles personnel matters, including employee work schedules, staff training, and internal operations of the district's parts storerooms
  • Coordinates with owner expediting managers
  • Lay out and manage site lay-down yards and stowage locations
  • Receives, photographs, and documents deliveries
  • Maintains MMR log, material receiving reports, and distributes
  • Responsible for care, custody, and protection of stored materials and equipment
  • Responsible for transfer of ownership to installing contractor
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma/GED, plus 3 to 5 years of experience in inventory management, logistics, or supply chain operations. The successful candidate will be an energetic, self-motivated individual who enjoys a team environment and has a passion for collaboration and professional development.

Work Environment:

The physical demands of this position include standing, walking, sitting, using hands, reaching with hands or arms, and talking or hearing. The team member may occasionally be required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision.
