Dental Hygiene Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dental Hygienist to become a valuable member of our team at Burlington Family Dentistry. As a key player in our dental care team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the overall success of our practice.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality dental hygiene services to patients, including prophylaxis, scaling, and root planning.
- Take x-rays and intraoral photos to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Schedule patients and manage their dental care needs.
- Develop and present treatment plans to patients, ensuring they understand their dental health and treatment options.
- Collaborate with our dentist to provide comprehensive care and make treatment recommendations.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide guidance on maintaining good oral health.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Perform administrative tasks, such as answering phones, calling labs, and following up with patients.
- Stock supplies and maintain equipment to ensure efficient operations.
- Accurately document patient health information and maintain confidentiality.
- Associate's degree from an ADA-accredited dental hygiene program.
- Current state licensure and CPR/BLS certification.
- Proficiency in dental patient management software, such as Open Dental or Dentrix.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
