About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Specialist 4 to join our team in Golden, CO. As a key member of our Maintenance Department, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues with our equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide analytical system troubleshooting to determine the cause of breakdowns or problems in malfunctioning equipment and systems.
  • Direct or make required repairs to bring equipment back online under reliable operating conditions.
  • Analyze equipment failures and repairs, and make recommendations to prevent reoccurrences or enhance repairs for future similar situations.
  • Actively participate and lead IDA's IPS's in support of BDE.
  • Work independently or as part of a team, analyzing reasons for poor machine or process performance and recommending actions to improve the operation.
  • Optimize Plant performance with innovations in Asset Care.
  • Assist in the planning and scheduling of day-to-day and long-term goals.
  • Support customer needs and build strong team dynamics.
  • Lead by example, presenting a positive attitude and encouraging team interaction.
  • Work to be familiar with safety policies and take proper steps to eliminate all safety hazards.
  • Provide technical direction when required, excluding discipline, timecards, evaluations, or one-on-ones.
  • Special assignments and projects as required by management.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years maintenance background.
  • Must have the necessary experience, aptitude, and education to perform mechanical duties such as set-up, adjustments, troubleshooting, PM activities, overhaul, and make equipment improvements when necessary.
  • Must possess basic math skills and verbal and written English language skills, and organizational skills.
  • Must be eager and willing to learn new skills and processes and take direction from 53 Mechanic.
  • It is desirable that the incumbent be motivated to obtain needed training and certification needed to perform these tasks, such as welding certification and electrical apprenticeship.
  • High School diploma or equivalent; associate degree or vocational education preferred.
