JOB OVERVIEW

The Automotive Parts Engineering Laboratory Technician plays a crucial role in delivering outstanding technical assistance to our clientele. This position entails addressing product-related inquiries, resolving initial-level challenges, and forwarding advanced issues to the product management division. The technician will ensure prompt and effective support for our customers through various communication channels, thereby fostering high customer satisfaction levels. Furthermore, this role encompasses the assessment of questionable products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assess product issues through dimensional analysis and testing procedures.
  • Manage the product claims database efficiently.
  • Respond to customer inquiries via technical support lines.
  • Monitor corrective actions taken by internal teams and suppliers.
  • Procure samples to facilitate thorough evaluations.
  • Oversee the maintenance of tools and the sample library.
  • Prepare and dispatch products as required.
  • Coordinate product inspections with warehouse staff.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a technical support or customer service capacity, ideally within the automotive aftermarket sector.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Knowledge of automotive systems and components.
  • An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Physical capability to lift weights up to 50lbs regularly.
