JOB OVERVIEW

The Automotive Parts Engineering Laboratory Technician plays a crucial role in delivering outstanding technical assistance to our clientele. This position encompasses addressing product inquiries, resolving initial-level issues, and forwarding more complex issues to the product management team. The Technician is dedicated to providing prompt and effective support to our customers through various communication channels, ensuring a high standard of customer satisfaction. Furthermore, the role entails the assessment of questionable products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct evaluations of product issues through dimensional analysis and testing procedures.
  • Manage and update the product claims database.
  • Respond to customer inquiries via technical support lines.
  • Monitor and document corrective actions from both internal and external suppliers.
  • Procure samples to facilitate thorough evaluations.
  • Oversee the maintenance of tools and the sample library.
  • Prepare and dispatch products as requested.
  • Coordinate inspection activities with warehouse staff.
  • Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a technical support or customer service capacity, ideally within the automotive aftermarket sector.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Knowledge of automotive systems and components.
  • An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Physical capability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
