Position: School Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the administration of speech and language evaluations under the guidance of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
  • Support the execution of tailored treatment strategies aimed at achieving specific speech and language objectives.
  • Deliver direct therapeutic services to students, both on an individual basis and in group formats.
  • Work in partnership with educators, guardians, and other specialists to promote students' speech and language growth.
  • Help in tracking and documenting student advancements, modifying treatment plans as needed.
  • Engage in IEP meetings, contributing insights regarding speech and language targets and goals.
  • Ensure accurate and current records of services rendered are maintained.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related discipline.
  • Valid certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in the relevant state.
  • Experience with school-aged children is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of speech and language development as well as associated disorders.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capability to function effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
